Love is the focus of countless stories. Ephesians Many of us have a hard time understanding the love of God. I personally have struggled with understanding His great love for me. I used to live like His love was dependent on my performance on my walk of faith, which is idolatry.
If you are a Christian, I want you to understand that you are loved.
His love for you is not based upon your performance. You can see its beginning, but not its end. Though we are imperfect, He loves us perfectly. We will strive for holiness not to make God love us but because He already does. That love never changes. It is not influenced by your appearance, by your possessions, or by the amount of money you have in your bank.
It is not changed by your talents and abilities. It is simply there.
It is there for you when you are sad or happy, discouraged or hopeful. It is simply always there. Not because He needs to receive, because He delights to give. I want you to take a look at Song of Solomon Marriage represents the beautiful and deep relationship between Christ and the church. This verse reveals how much God loves you.
One look upward and you have the Lord hooked. He wants to be with you and when you enter into His presence His heart beats faster and faster for you. The Lord looks at His children in love and excitement because He deeply loves His children. Does God really love us and if so, how much? Humanity never wanted anything to do with God. The Bible says that we were dead in our trespasses and sins. We are enemies of God.
In fact, we were God-haters. Be honest, does a person such as this, deserve love from God? However, God made a way to reconcile sinful people to Himself. He sent His holy and person Son who He perfectly loved, to take our place. Take a moment to imagine the perfect relationship between the Father and Son.
In every relationship there is always enjoyment, but in this relationship, they perfectly enjoyed each other. They had perfect fellowship with one another. Everything was created for His Son. The relationship was impeccable.
God got glory for Himself by crushing His Son for you. God so loved you and He proved it on the cross. Jesus died, He was buried, and resurrected for your sins. Believe in this gospel of Jesus Christ. Trust that His blood has removed your sins and made you right before God.
Not only did God save you, but He has also adopted you into His family and given you a new identity in Christ. That is how much God loves you! Ephesians Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. Where does love come from? How are you able to love your mother, father, child, friends, etc. Think about how parents see their newborn child and smile. Think about parents playing with their children and having a good time. Have you ever thought about where does that stuff come from?
These things are here to be representations to reveal how much God loves and is joyful over His children. He loved us before He created us.
Jesus loved us and went to the cross to die in our place before we were born. Jesus was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world Revelation We were loved, knowing that we would sin, that we would reject Him, and that Jesus would have to die to pay the price for our sin to restore relationship between God and us.
It means first in the sense of time, but it also carries the idea of chief or first in rank, leading, absolutely, best. His love le us — because He loved us first and supremely, we have an inkling of what love is, and we can begin to return that love to Him, and we can begin to love others as He loves us. And the more we do that, the more we grow in love.
The more we love, the more we begin to understand the depths of His love. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another. That is why the Lord rescued you with such a strong hand from your slavery and from the oppressive hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Though she may forget, I will not forget you! This goes back to God loving us first. He loved us before we were born — before we did anything. He loved us then and loves us now because that is His nature. As humans, we love because we recognize something in someone that draws our heart to that person.
But God loves us when there is nothing within us to draw His love. He loves us, not because we are worthy, but because He is God. God loves us, but He hates sin! Our sin has alienated us from God. God does not just feel and express love. He is love! He is the definition of genuine love. Every word and every action of God is born out of love. Everything God does is loving. God is the source of all true love. We have the ability to love because He first loved us.
God is the essence of love — He defines love. When we know God, we know what real love is. Think about this for a moment. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. Our human love for one another and even for God is often diminished by selfishness, unfaithfulness, and impermanence.Bible verses about god loves you
